BLOGGED: Touring Siquijor Island
Siquijor is the most beautiful province that I have visited so far. Even the most mundane thing seemed extraordinary - roads, the boulevard and the trees.
When I updated my Facebook and Twitter timeline about my spontaneous trip in Siquijor, people got worried. They thought that I would end up being eaten by Corazonangunangaswang or being played by witches through black magic. The truth is, I got enchanted by the island’s beauty.
The locals were very warm and accommodating. They were genuinely hospitable! Siquijor may have a scary reputation but the province is worth visiting. Peaceful, laid-back and clean - these words perfectly describe the province.
I’d definitely come back to Siquijor to explore more places.

BLOGGED: Salagdoong Beach: Siquijor’s Paradise
It was a hot and humid Thursday afternoon when we toured the island of Siquijor. Due to lack of sleep, I just dozed off inside the tricycle as we made our way to our next destination - Salagdoong Beach. The sun was at its zenith when we arrived at Salagdoong Beach.
Robbie and Ate Gael nudged me. “Gising na! Dito na tayo.” (Wake up! We’re already here!)
This was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes:
I thought I was still dreaming.
I wasn’t.

BLOGGED: The Mystical Island of Siquijor: An Overview
The original plan was this: tour the southern part of Cebu and the island of Bohol. We successfully did the former but failed to accomplish the latter due to some unfavorable events. Because of it, Robbie and I decided to come up with an alternative plan. Good thing was, we met RV and helped us with our predicament.
We did not really expect that we would invade the mystical island of Siquijor the following day!

BLOGGED: Swimming with Whale Sharks in Oslob, Cebu
I thought that the only way to have a close encounter with the whale sharks or butanding/tuki is to travel all the way to Donsol, Sorsogon which is undeniably, a million light-years away from Davao.
It was until in December of 2011 when I read Drew’s blog post about his whale shark experience in Oslob, Cebu. And since we were scheduled to go back to Cebu last month, swimming with the gentle giants became our number one priority.

BLOGGED: Conquering Osmeña Peak of Cebu
The mountains meant nothing to me before.
I never appreciated it and never in my life did I aspire to climb even the pandak-est mountain. Well, I used to be a lazy boywho just wanted to do easy things. But my perspectives changed after I successfully climbed Mount Pinatubo. It was one of my glorious days; seeing the turquoise-blue lake literally blew me away.
Months prior my South Cebu trip, Jerome, Robbie and I planned to conquer Cebu’s highest peak. I have seen a lot of beautiful photos of Osmeña Peak from the internet and read that the trek to the summit wasn’t that difficult.
Or so we thought.

Perhaps the premier dessert place of Cebu is La Marea. After visiting the Taoist Temple at Beverly Hills, we went back to IT Park and had a sweet affair.

La Marea is famous for its warm brownie cup. To some, it may looked ordinary. When I saw the cup, I was like, “Meh I can buy brownies and put vanilla ice cream on top of it with bits of nuts and chocolate syrup”. But after my first bite, I was like:

Eating has been my favorite hobby ever since. I mean, who doesn’t, right? During my recent trip in Cebu City, my travel buddies and I decided to just chill out along IT Park before embarking on an epic Central Visayas trip.
And when I say ‘chill-out’, it means only one thing - eat and drink as if there is no tomorrow.
