A Rare Find

An American tourist took a video of his AirPhil Express flight (2P 969 bound for Kalibo from Manila). As you can see in the video, the plane is on its short final approach to the airport. Apparently, the aircraft landed at the middle of the runway. Pilots were left with just a few hundred meters, ergo causing the plane to overshoot. The Airbus A320-200 (with a registration number of RP-C3224) didn’t sustain any damages and no one got hurt in this minor incident.

Flights to and from Kalibo were forced to cancel due to runway closure. At around 5PM that day, services went back to normal as the plane was successfully towed back to the terminal.
