Perfect, just perfect
By the way, I slept at around 2 am because my body badly needs rest.
Anyway, I woke up at around 8:30 am and it won’t be possible to finish the cover design in just one hour! I decided not to attend my 10am class just to finish this thing.
Just a minute ago, my classmate sent a message:
“Walang class sa SSP 1!”
Perfect.
Now back to work. I’m almost through!

For the next six hours,
I shall finalize the cover of our school paper. Damn it, maybe I should skip Philippine History this morning.
Jesus Christ, it’s going to be my first time to cut class.
LIKE. SERIOUSLY.

Organizing the university’s biggest event of the year is really a pain in the ass. Not that I’m complaining or whatnot, it’s just people depend on us, the University Student Council and other active course-based organizations, fraternities and sororities in our school. It pains me so much to hear such “unnecessary” critics from the commoner. You know, we have prepared...

Let me reiterate this:
I am not a robot. I am not a robot. I am not a robot. I am not a robot. I am not a robot.
But then again, I wish I were a robot, for a robot has the ability to stay awake for than 3 days, has an excellent record when it comes to efficiency and has superb memory skills.
Animal Ecology exam tomorrow. I believe I am not studying Ecology anymore.
This is Advanced Statistics ft. Differential...

JB's Predicament
I have heard some Justin Bieber cover songs on YouTube and they are all beautiful, like David Sides and J. Rice’s cover of Never Let You Go. The covers were far better than the original.
No offense to die hard fans of JB.

You know what? It really irritates me so much to talk to an immature and dimwit person. Aside from the fact that our way of thinking is not in the same frequency and my wavelength is longer than his, the person is fond of boasting such things that aren’t worthy to be proud of.
Apparently, I don’t have a choice but to listen. Oh schmuck, correction! I didn’t really listen to...

Unusual Bonus
Bonus question (ZOO 173 | Parasitology)
For 5 pts., who is the 15th Senate President?
I answered Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. Bullshit, it’s gusto-ko-happy-ka.

Physics explains everything.
Have you ever noticed that people with very unpleasant body odor are hardly ever offended by it themselves? It’s as if they are completely unaware that they stink to high heaven, and they usually go about waving their arms wildly, totally oblivious to the fact that everyone within a 15-foot radius has succumbed to their toxic fumes. Well, it’s unpleasant, sure, but a pretty good...

Quotable Quotes
Through the years I have heard some quotable quotes from my various professors/instructors in UPMin. I always write them in my notebook. I’m gonna share some, in no particular order:
—-
“Class, it’s okay if you smoke in my class as long as you don’t exhale it” (Dr. Antonio Obsioma, Biodiversity/Animal Science)
While cutting the palm trees outside CSM (College...

Despite the stress, I should be happy
I survived this terrible week. Three exams, but I passed all of them.
59/62 - Histology Lab Exam 85/100 - Environmental Management
I haven’t seen my Phil. History results yet.
Today, I shall create my sample graphic and layout design for our school paper, Himati, from cover page ‘til the last cover. Shoot.
Next Monday - Parasitology exam
Next Wednesday - Animal Ecology exam
*Plus...

The grass is much greener on the other side.
It is really irritating when your teacher misplaced your laboratory reports, doesn’t know where he last put it and demands you to make a new one for the sake of having an evidence that you really pass the laboratory report. Else, you’ll get a grade of INC or worse, 5.00.
It is really irritating when the teacher forgets to make an exam. He decides for the schedule yet fails to fulfill...

Funny incident
BIO 3 (Biodiversity) 2nd semester, AY 2007-2008
—-
Prof: Okay class, can you give me some characteristics of an animal?
Classmate 1: Ma’am! Animals are mostly multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia or Metazoa.
Prof: Very good! Another one! Yes, Ms. *insert name*
Classmate 2: They are also heterotrophs. They must ingest other organisms for sustenance.
Prof:...

My thesis adviser is famous here in our college (CSM) for giving out-of-this-world questions. For years, I keep on hearing from her former students say that although she’s one of the best professors in our school, her exams were hard to answer. What my thesis adviser’s trying to point out is that students shouldn’t just depend on the PowerPoint handouts. Her students should read...
holyspectacle asked: Hi, I read your Creation vs. Evolution post. I hear you, it really is hard to say what you mean in 200 words. 500 even. By the way, did you know that Creationists now refer to their theory as Intelligent Design? Apparently, they don't use the word God, but an intelligent force that allows for everything to happen. The proponents of Intelligent Design work in a 'scientific' way to...

Creationism vs. Evolution
The continuing battle between the two opposing forces, which is creationism and evolution have made huge gaps between science and religion. Personally, I won’t claim a certain side because both of them have its own flaws.
They often seem to be locked in a desperate struggle of life and death - and, for some religious beliefs, perhaps that impression is reasonably accurate. Evolution has...

Another Sleepless Night
Well, everyone’s nocturnal. Sleep is already a luxury.
To my abused system, I’m really sorry. I just have to. Circadian rhythm’s disrupted. Series of physiological actions occur just to mitigate the stress.

Mixed Nuts
Today, the Parasitology review quiz went well. Got 28/30. Not bad. This week, I have three long exams (Environmental Management, Histology lab and Philippine History).
My only wish today is to have at least a day of decent sleep. For me, a decent sleep is to have an undisturbed deep slumber for at least 14 hours. I also wish that by the time I wake up, it will rain, well not so hard, just enough...

Parasitic Protozoans II: Amoeba and Ciliates

Parasites from the intestine of a cockroach.
Just listen as to how we got excited when we saw these parasites. Geek much. And oh, we speak Tagalog and Bisaya simultaneously. LOL.
Theme song for the intestinal parasites: It goes on and on and on and on…
Whatever.
